Y101/Jackson Wakes Up With ‘Adam & Allison’
• At last… after scouring the planet for a new morning show, we are pleased to report that New South Top 40 WYOY (Y101)/Jackson, MS has found the exciting new wake-up duo to succeed Jenn & Bus, who left in August – say hello to Adam & Allison (Adam Schraf and Allison Blaes), who will be relocating to Mississippi’s Capital City from Panama City Beach, FL, where they most recently did mornings on Magic Broadcasting Top 40 WILN (Island 106) until COVID hit.
Schraf previously worked at WDJQ (Q92)/Canton, OH and WVRT (V97)/Williamsport, PA; Blaes earlier did mornings for former Powell Broadcasting Top 40 WPFM/Panama City Beach.
“Excited is about as big an understatement as I could make,” Schraf said. “A huge thank you to Market Manager Bob Lawrence, PD Matt Mohney, and the entire team at New South/Digio Strategies.” Blaes commented, “We just cannot wait to immerse ourselves in the Jackson community and create something exciting in the process for Central Mississippi.”
Lawrence and Mohney are equally enthused about their new morning team, jointly commenting, “We loved them the first time we heard them and when they came out here and did a live on air audition together — we just knew we found the right show for Y101.” Adam & Allison make their Y101 debut on Nov. 7.
