Hanrahan Reaches Summit: VP/Country, WZZK PD
• SummitMedia has hired veteran programmer Tom Hanrahan in the dual role of PD of Country WZZK/Birmingham, AL and corporate Vice President of Country Programming & Talent Development. In his new corporate role, Hanrahan will focus on the strategy, goals, and programming execution for all of SummitMedia’s Country stations, working closely with PDs, Market Presidents and local air talent to reach their full potential.
Hanrahan is already intimately familiar with the Birmingham market, having previously spent 25 years with iHeartMedia, the last 20 in Birmingham, rising to Alabama Area SVP of Programming and PD/afternoon talent at WDXB (102.5 The Bull) until his departure last September.
