Steve Craig Comes Home To 99X
• We figured this long overdue radio homecoming was in the works, and this week, it becomes reality — popular Atlanta Rock radio personality Steve Craig makes his triumphant return to Cumulus Media’s legendary WNNX (99X), this time as Program Director and midday personality.
Craig notably served as midday host on the original 99X from 1992-2007 and comes home to the relaunched 99X after a 10-year run across the street on CMG Classic Hits WSRV (97.1 The River). Craig has also been the Atlanta United’s in-game announcer for many years and is a professional pilot who does charitable work for Angel Flight.
Craig is the last returning OG member of the 99X on-air team, reunited with original 99X morning hosts Leslie Fram and Steve Barnes and afternoon drive talent Will Pendarvis. Craig’s reconstituted midday show will contain a blend of all-new content and classic segments from the legacy show, including the listener-favorite feature, “Steve’s College of Musical Knowledge.”
