Kelly In Command Of Albany’s Cat
• Congratulations are in order for Pete Kelly on his elevation from APD/MD to PD/Brand Manager of Pamal Country WKLI (100.9/107.1 The Cat)/Albany, NY.
The good news was delivered to the staff in a memo from Kevin Callahan, Pamal Corporate Director Operations & Programming, which reads, in part, “In the 10 months that Pete and I have been working together on The Cat, Pete has shown a passion, willingness to learn and dedication that will surely bring further and greater success to the station. I’m proud of what The Cat staff has accomplished in a short amount of time and I’m excited to watch The Cat grow even more with Pete at the helm.”
As we reported in Thursday’s RAMP, Kelly has also been covering middays across the hall on Top 40 sister WFLY (FLY 92.3), but with the imminent arrival of new FLY 92.3 APD/midday talent Seth Justice, Kelly will now have that extra time to fully focus on the care and feeding of The Cat.
Kelly (pictured here with his pal Lainey Wilson) has been with The Cat full-time since 2017, starting in middays, moving to mornings, and currently does afternoons. Kelly started his career at WYZY (now WNBZ)/Saranac, NY in 2012, eventually joining Pamal in 2016 to do mornings on WKBE/Glens Falls, before transferring to WKLI in 2017.
