Salandra, Wilson On The Loose
• After what she describes as “6+ amazing years,” Lindsay Salandra announced her departure as Publicist & Digital Communications Manager for Emmis New York at the end of the month. “It’s been a fun ride, and I’ve enjoyed my time here, but it’s on to a new phase in life,” she said. “I appreciate everyone I’ve worked with over the years, and I hope to keep in touch and continue working with you in my next work-life.”
Prior to joining Emmis in 2001, Salandra worked in the promotions department at Albany Broadcasting in Albany, NY. She also spent some years in various roles at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. In a bit of good news, Salandra says she will be coming back to handle press for Hot 97’s upcoming Summer Jam show. She commented, “As my responsibilities are transitioned, please take this time to lock in the general press email for Hot 97, WBLS, and WLIB: press@hot97.com.” Salandra can now be reached at LMSalandraPR@gmail.com. “Thank you again for everything these past few years!” she exclaimed. “It’s been an adventure!”
• Brian Wilson has exited his position as co-host of Mornings On The Mall on Cumulus News-Talk WMAL/Washington. Last Friday Wilson tweeted, “Today is the last day of a wonderful 6 year ride @WMALDC. Thanks everyone! I stand ready for the next great adventure.”
Wilson is a former anchor at Fox News Channel and WTTG-TV (Fox 5)/Washington who joined WMAL in 2011. He was initially teamed up with Larry O’Connor, who is now doing afternoons. Since March 1 Wilson’s co-host has been Mary Walter, who transitioned from evenings at iHeartMedia News-Talk WHAS/Louisville. Walter is currently rolling solo in mornings, ably accompanied by Executive Producer Heather Smith Hunter and Traffic Reporter Jamee Whitten.
