O’Brian Circles Back To Kentucky
• Good news! Our pal Dale O’Brian is off the beach and back in the game as the newly named Operations Manager for 7 Mountains Media’s Frankfort, KY group and Program Director/afternoon drive host on Country simulcast WFKY/Frankfurt & WVKY/Shelbyville (Froggy Country 104.9 & 101.7), starting May 12.
O’Brian spent most of the past decade as morning co-host at Audacy Country WPAW (93.1 The Wolf)/Greensboro until the company’s large-scale restructuring in early March. His extensive programming resume also includes Cumulus Country duo WLXX and WVLK/Lexington, KY; WNNF/Cincinnati, LM Broadcasting Hot AC WCDA/Lexington, KY, the late WWZZ (Z104)/Washington, the former WBTS/Atlanta, WKSI/Greensboro and two stints at Clear Channel’s WMXL/Lexington, KY. O’Brian is also the creator of the long-running syndicated Retro Country USA, now in its 28th year.
Market Manager Rusty James introduced O’Brian in a staff memo that reads, in part, “With a proven track record as a multi-format programmer and on-air talent; Dale is widely respected across the industry for his leadership, creativity and results.
