Orlando Wakes Up With Jay & Brandi
• Brandi Britain has been named morning co-host on Cox Media Group Classic Hits WMMO/Orlando, plugging in across from longtime host Jay Edwards to create… wait for it… The Jay & Brandi Morning Show.
Britain arrives from Atlanta, where she spent the past four years as a traffic reporter & producer for iHeartMedia’s Total Traffic & Weather Network. Before that she enjoyed an 11-year run with former Cumulus Active Rock WNNX (Rock 100.5), rising through the ranks from board op and producer to co-host of the now former Bailey & Southside morning show.
“I’m thrilled to have such a popular talent join our WMMO family,” said Steve Stewart, Director of Operations & PD of WMMO. “Brandi is going to be loved by our Orlando listeners, just as she was in Atlanta.”
Edwards remarked, “I have never been more excited! Twenty-five plus years on the radio in Orlando and now I get start the next chapter with an incredibly talented and very funny co-host! My mornings just got better, and I think Orlando will agree, theirs did too!”
An equally enthused Britain said, “I’m a roller-skating and joke-telling radio personality with a distinctive voice and lots of stories.
