Rob Archer On The Loose

• RAMP has learned that veteran news reporter/anchor Rob Archer has exited Audacy’s KNX (News 97.1)/Los Angeles after a decade of service.

Archer broke the news of his unscheduled departure on Substack, stating, in part: “I’m no longer with KNX. After 10 good years, it’s hard to say goodbye to so many talented friends and colleagues. Ironically — or maybe poetically — this Saturday marks my 45th anniversary in radio. (But please remember, I got my start while I was still in high school!). So yes, I’ve been here before. More than once. Everyone in this business knows that getting cut loose isn’t a bug — it’s a feature.”

Archer’s previous stops include iHeartMedia’s KFI 640 and KBIG/Los Angeles. “The future, as they say, is wide open,” he said.
