Gala Roser Homecoming For Dave & Liz

• Roser Communication Networks is excited to announce major programming updates at Country simulcast WBGK/WBUG (Bug Country 99.7/101.1) and Top 40 simulcast WSKS/WSKU (KISS-FM 97.9/105.5)/Utica-Rome, NY, highlighted by the return of popular longtime Central New York radio personalities Dave Wheeler and Liz Ellis.

After 17 years across the street with Townsquare Media, most recently as Director Of Content and Brand Manager for WOUR, WODZ, WLZW & WFRG (Big Frog 104), Wheeler (left) returns home to Roser as host of The Dave Wheeler Show in mornings on Bug Country. He will also handle weeknights on KISS-FM — just like he did from 2007-2009.

Dave Silvers, OM of Bug Country for the past 21 years, previously worked with Wheeler during his earlier tenure with the company. “It was fun to watch him grow with us years ago, then really step up his game, working in many areas at several competitor stations,” Silvers said. “But we always stayed in touch through the years. Now, I’m happy to have his experience and expertise in helping Bug Country and our other stations in the company.”

Wheeler remarked, “I’m happy to be back with the Roser Communication Networks family. After almost 17 years across town, I’m looking to expand and grow my programming and content knowledge at Bug Country and KISS-FM.”

 And there’s more good news — as part of these changes, fan-favorite personality Liz Ellis (right) returns to KISS-FM as host of Listen It’s Liz in the Morning. “When the opportunity to rejoin the KISS Morning Show came up, I couldn’t refuse,” Ellis said. “The Rosers have been like family, and I’m so excited to be back.”

KISS-FM PD Shaun Andrews said, “To have both Liz and Dave on our programming team makes us an unstoppable force. Having two well-established morning shows who live and breathe this local market will give our listeners an incredible experience.”
