Muñoz Named PM Co-Host, Rumba 106.1/Philly

• iHeartMedia Spanish Pop WUMR (Rumba 106.1)/Philadelphia welcomes veteran Spanish-language radio personality and media professional Karen Muñoz as afternoon drive co-host alongside PD DJ Jonathan(Tineo), effective Aug. 31. She will also handle 2-5pm on Saturdays.

“Karen brings the personality, experience and connection to the Philadelphia community that we are looking for,” said Tineo. “She knows how to entertain, connect and make listeners feel like they are part of the conversation. We are very excited to have her on our team and for our audience to be part of everything we are building together.”

Muñoz brings more than a decade of experience in Spanish-language media and a strong connection to Philadelphia’s Hispanic community. She began her radio career in 2011 at La Única 1680 AM/Philadelphiabefore joining WEMG (La Mega 1310), where she was part of popular programs including El Show de la Mañana and Mega En Tus Mañanas. She later served as a local producer and Philadelphia correspondent for the nationally recognized El Show de Luis Jiménez.
