Moving Day For Holly, Mollie & Ray
Hubbard Radio Cincinnati makes several high profile personnel adjustments at AC WREW (Mix 94.9) and Top 40 WKRQ (Q102) — the action sequence begins with Holly Morgan (left), who unplugs from middays on Q102 after 15 years and crosses the hall to Mix 94.9, joining Sandy McIlree as the new co-host of The Sandy Show. This change creates the opportunity for current Q102 night host Mollie Watson (right) to move up into the midday shift. “Holly is a true talent and knows exactly what modern women are talking about,” said Mike Fredrick, VP/Market Manager for Hubbard Radio Cincinnati LLC. “Holly is the perfect fit for the Mix 94.9 brand.” A visibly thrilled Mix 94.9 PD Jay Kruz commented, “I’m thrilled to have a dynamic personality like Holly join Mix 94.9. She knows our city like no one else, is an awesome mom, and has a strong social media presence.”
Back at Mix 94.9, current morning co-host Ray Anderson (left) slides up into the midday show. Karen Van Zant remains in place as a weekend personality across all four Hubbard stations. OM Patti Marshall remarked, “Holly has been such a great talent for Q102. We will miss her, but the whole staff is happy for her and that we will still see her every day in the hallway. I’m thrilled we’ve been able to grow a great local talent like Mollie Watson who has the opportunity to pursue her goal of a midday show.” Morgan said, “It’s been a desire of mine to grow my career and be a part of a major morning show. I will miss my Q102 family, but I’m excited to begin this next chapter of my career and wake up the Tri-State with Sandy on Cincinnati’s market-leading AC station.”
A nationwide search for a new night jock/multimedia personality for Q102 is already underway. Details about this EOE position and a link to apply online can be found at wkrq.com/careers.
